My girlfriend wants to spend almost every waking moment with me and gets offended when I want some alone time. We're both in our mid-twenties, have been dating for about a year and don't live together. She gets offended on nights when I don't invite her over or don't want to go over there. It's not like I don't want to be with her, I just honestly like alone time. To have a beer, watch a game, catch up on some work or just relax...but she always gives me a hard time and says "but you could do that here" or something to that effect. How do I explain to her that it's not a bad thing that I just like my "space."
