During the traffic stop, Guilderland Police were talking to the man when something caught the officers's eye. They allegedly saw some sort of weird substance that was in packages on the driver’s seat. After a little investigating, it was determined that it was cocaine, and it was packaged and ready to be distributed.

That lead to the arrest of Marvin F. Franz from Rome, New York. During the incident, it was also discovered that Franz’s driver’s license was suspended.

Franz ended up with several charges including Aggravated Unlicensed Operation Of A Motor Vehicle in the second degree, Criminal possession Of A Controlled Substance in the third degree, and others.

According to the report from CBS 6 Albany, Franz was sent to the Albany County Jail after his arraignment in Guilderland Town Court, and has a July 30 court date.
