Local Million Dollar Lotto Winners Go Home With Thousands

We recently got the great news that we had a Million Dollar Powerball winner right here in the upstate New York area.

A group of Queensbury, New York 99 Restaurant workers went in together to buy the winning ticket, but how much will they actually take home? The 20 employees are expected to take home $50,000 BEFORE taxes. Hopefully "Uncle Sam" won't take too much of their winnings. Congratulations to our local winners and let's hope the good luck continues in the area! Apparently, there was also another Million Dollar ticket sold in the area just a few weeks ago at the Queensbury Hannaford, for the May 9th Sweet Millions Lottery.

One Powerball winner was sold at a supermarket in Florida, winning the highest Powerball jackpot in history, $590.5 million dollars.
