Three Upstate New York Stewart’s Shops Claim Big Powerball Winners

The Powerball jackpot is one of the biggest in history. Tonight, the jackpot is 1.3 billion dollars. On Monday, the jackpot swelled to over a billion dollars, and even though there was no first-place winner, there were three Capital Region winners of the third-place prize.

It seems that local Stewart's Shops are a hotbed for winning lottery tickets. There have been several New York Lottery Take5 winners cashing in from $18,000 to $38,000. But the most recent winners for the Powerball drawing have won $50,000 a piece.

According to the New York Lottery, there were three $50,000 Powerball winners in the Monday night, September 1st, drawing. Each was sold at three separate Stewart's Shops throughout the Capital Region.

Two of the $50,000 winners were sold at Stewart's Shops in Saratoga County, and the third was sold in Rensselaer County.

Here is where the three winning $50,000 Powerball tickets were sold.

The two Saratoga County Stewart's Shops, third-place winners, were sold at Luther Forest Boulevard in Mechanicville

and 402 Lake Avenue in Saratoga Springs.

The Rensselaer County Stewart's Shop is located at 152 Congress Street in Troy.

To cash in on the third-place Powerball prize worth $50,000, you must match four numbers and the Powerball number. The winning numbers were 8,23,25,40,53, and the Powerball was 5.

Since there was no first-prize winner of the $1 billion Powerball jackpot, it is now estimated to be worth $1.3 billion. If you sense a pattern, like I do, I know that I will be playing my Powerball numbers and getting my tickets at a local Stewart's Shop.
