Local Man Allegedly Sets House on Fire and Threatens First Responders

The Albany County Sheriff's Department is currently on the scene of an ongoing situation in the Town of Knox.

According to Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple, a man has allegedly set his house on fire, at 75 Saddlemire Road, and is threatening first responders.

The man has called 911 and says he is heavily armed.  He has cut the trees down in his driveway to block firefighters and police officers from entering.
