Local Man Asleep Behind Wheel Is In Trouble With The Law

Early Saturday morning, a vehicle that was parked on the shoulder of road in Hoosick had someone sleeping in it.

Authorities that were at the scene on State Route 22, found the driver sleeping behind the wheel. They woke him up and then noticed that he was allegedly drunk. Adam Pineiro from Bennington, Vermont, was given a field sobriety test. The tests showed that he allegedly had a Blood Alcohol Content of .14 percent, nearly two times the legal limit.

According to the story from WNYT, Pineiro was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. He was released after he was issued a ticket, and will soon be back in court. There is no word in how long that Pineiro was asleep or where he was coming from.
