Less than a month ago I wrote about how a local driver led the way in open testing sessions at Daytona International Speedway. Well he's done it again.

The No. 48 Hylton Motorsports-Empire Racing Ford Fusion with Sean Corr at the wheel was fastest overall Friday afternoon during practice at Daytona with a speed of 187.692 mph. Corr was at the top of speed charts in December with a speed of 188.509 mph.

Corr has raced locally at the Lebanon Valley and Orange County Fair speedways and also claimed the pro stock championship at Syracuse. At Daytona, he is racing with the ARCA Racing Series which kicks off Speedweeks with the Lucas Oil 200 on February 14.

A total of 37 drivers posted time and speed during the one-day test for ARCA drivers that was cut short by three hours on Friday morning due to wet track conditions. Another local driver was also on hand for the session. Ed Pompa from Ballston Spa was 27th overall in his No. 10 Chevrolet.
