LeAnn Rimes Goes Skydiving to Honor Disabled Vets
Some people honor disabled veterans through bumper stickers, others show their support through donations. LeAnn Rimes and husband Eddie Cibrian did something a little different -- they went skydiving!
The couple's jump into thin air was part of a special event, the Disabled Veterans Event, which took place on Veterans Day (Nov. 11) at Skydive Elsinore in Lake Elsinore, Calif. Rimes and Mario Lopez hosted the occasion, which allowed veterans the special chance to skydive for only $20, and the 'Blue' songstress and her husband decided to take part in a tandem jump during the day's festivities.
Rimes seemed pretty excited about her newest adventure, and tweeting after the fact, "WOW, I just jumped out of a freaking plane!!!!!!!!! #stillinshock #thatwasawesome."
"Totally wiped out from all the excitement today!" she continued. "In sweats, on the couch, chillin w/ 2 kiddos. It's gonna take everything I've got to get up." Sounds just about right for any first-time skydiver; there's probably a whole lot of apprehension, then a burst of adrenaline, ending with a huge sigh of relief.
From the photos, it looks like Rimes and Cibrian embraced in a huge hug after their feet hit solid ground. In addition to the famous couple, 10 wounded warriors took the plane plunge, as well. What a way to celebrate Veterans Day!
