Each blood donor on Wednesday August 28th at the Albany Capital Center will receive a $20 Amazon.com gift card. One lucky donor will win 2 tickets to see Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Classic Rock band Heart at MVP Arena in Albany.

While summer can be full of vacations and outdoor fun, it’s also a time of higher risk for car accidents, especially among teen drivers. A single car accident victim may require as many as 100 units of blood.

Blood donors are critically needed right now to support lifesaving transfusions this summer. Donors of all blood types are in demand, especially those with type O blood and donors giving platelets.
