This is amazing news for one team member on the Buffalo Sabres!
It was 27 weeks ago when Taylor Mattfolk shared the breaking news with her man Victor Olofsson that they were expecting a baby together, and they looked just as excited back then as they are now.
“Vi längtar efter dig” [= Swedish for: “We are longing for you 💕”].
Victor Olofsson has played a role on the Buffalo Sabres since his debut on the ice in March 2019. Originally from Örnsköldsvik, Sweden, Olofsson is a professional ice hockey left winger. Before getting picked up by the Sabres, Olofsson made his Swedish Hockey League (SHL), playing with Modo Hockey and Frolunda HC. In the 2019-2020 season, Olofsson made the All-Rookie team for the Buffalo Sabres. And now, he’s a dad!
A few weeks ago, Taylor shared a photo with a flashy ring on her finger, along with a caption in Swedish that says “Always us” when translated to English.
Congratulations to Taylor and Victor on the birth of their daughter! She’s such a cute baby.
They named her Vera, and she was born on Sept. 5, 2023.
The Buffalo Sabres start their preseason against the Capitals on Sunday, Sept. 24 at 2:00 PM.
