The date has finally arrived! The city of Troy hits the big screen, or little screen depending on the size of your television, tonight at 9pm with the debut of HBO's "The Gilded Age".

It looks like the Capital Region is slowly becoming the Hollywood of the Northeast. HBO's "The White House Plumbers" with Woody Harrelson was shot in Albany last Summer and just before that it was the cast and crew of "The Gilded Age" taking over Troy.

According to Times Union, much of downtown Troy was redesigned and recreated to look like Manhattan in 1882. Whether you watched the filming, cast as an extra or just curious, you will be amazed to see Troy play the part of New York City.
