I Love My Pontiac–The Last One I Will Ever Own
I love to drive American cars. I always have and always will. The quality has been getting even better at GM and Ford especially the last few years. My last 2 cars have been Pontiacs and I have owned 4 in my life.
General Motors decided to discontinue the Pontiac line a few years ago. I really don't know why though. Just take a minute and think about 2 years ago of how many Grand Prix's, Vibe's and Grand AM's you saw and still see on the road today.
My current vehicle a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix has 143,000 miles on it. I bought the car in July 0f 2006 brand new with 4 miles on it and really rack up the miles as you can see. My car runs like a top still and allows me to see my kids who are in Lowville, New York and the Glens Falls, New York. Some weekends I drive to Lowville and get my girls, then back to Glens Falls with them and get my boys to get all the kids together at least once a month. Then of course back to Lowville to drop the girls off and back to Albany to get ready to work. That's about 800 miles on one of those weekends.
I jokingly refer to this as my "Richmond" run, because if you started in Albany and drew a semi straight line you would end up driving to Richmond, Virginia.
I love my kids, and I love my Pontiac because I love my kids. I hope that someone at General Motors reads this and strongly considers bringing back Pontiac. I don't know how much longer the "Silver Bullet" will be running and if I had a real choice I would want to buy another new Pontiac Grand Prix.
