Higher Elevations In Capital Region To See Some Snow Tonight
Say it ain't SNOW! We are halfway into May, but a chilly spell is going to bring a little bit of snow tonight.
It's happened before and it will happen again. But when we should be seeing temps closer to 70, it is still a shock to the system when snow is in the forecast, in May!
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), higher elevations in the Capital Region can expect some wet snow tonight. So parts of the Adirondacks, Catskills and the Berkshires as well as in Schoharie Country. The NWS also says areas in the Green Mountains in Southern Vermont could see 3-6 inches!
The good news for most of us, it will just be chilly and rainy and any spots that get snow should see it melt quickly. But, ya gotta love the weather in Upstate New York, right? Have no fear, Summer and warm weather will get here. We will be wishing for a little snow to coll of in July!
