Well, this is something you don't see everyday.

According to News Channel 13, a Halfmoon man high on LSD broke into a neighbors house on Thursday to save a dog from a fire. The only problem is, there was no fire.

Police say Michael Orchard was high on acid and cough syrup, and thought the neighbor's house was on fire. He proceeded to break in and save the neighbor's dog. It turns out the fire was all a hallucination. He was arrested for burglary and criminal mischief, and the dog was returned to it's owner unharmed.

You have to imagine the police are skeptical of this story, but if it does hold up - Orchard was ultimately trying to do a good thing, even if his reasons did not really exist.
