Goonies Never Say Die! Cast Of Original Movie Is Headed To Upstate New York
The 1980s was a special time for the movies. Jaws invented the summer blockbuster in the mid-1970s, and there was no looking back. In fact, the director of Jaws, Steven Spielberg, held that genre in a chokehold for the entire decade.
One of his greatest achievements was a project he worked on with Chris Columbus (the director, not explorer), simply titled: The Goonies.

The Goonies 40th Anniversary
On June 7th, 2025, The Goonies reached its 40th Anniversary. The film, which is now a classic in every sense of the word, follows a group of rag-tag teenagers as they try to find the pirate One-Eyed Willy's treasure.
Since its release in 1985, it has become synonymous with American culture, and launched the careers of actors like Josh Brolin and Ke Huy Quan. Now, two of those actors are headed to Upstate New York to celebrate the film's 40th year.
