We might go down kicking and screaming on this, but guess what? Jan. 1 might not be the time to celebrate for some. They are ending production of the incandescent light bulb. Good idea or not?

According to Newser.com, production will end for the last two types of "old school bulbs"-the 40 and 60 watt varieties. The others were already phased out, btw.

Sylvania did a survey and almost 60 percent of people said it was a good idea. In fact they were "excited" about it. Here's a video explaining the whole thing via YouTube.

Ok, so it will use less electricity, give off less heat and last longer.  That's all well and good.  But tell me something.  How come when you use one of the 60 watt new ones-- YOU CAN'T SEE ANYTHING?  They're so damn dim, aren't they?  Is it just me? Plus if you ever dropped one, isn't it dangerous?  Don't they give off toxic gas or something?  Comment below if you agree!  LET'S BRING BACK THE OLD SCHOOL, MONEY WASTIN' LIGHT BULB!!
