Fun & Exciting Plans For Old Sears in Warren County
There are big, fun, and exciting plans to repurpose the old Sears department store in Aviation Mall in Queensbury.
According to the Glens Falls Chronicle, Jeremy Treadway will convert the 86,000 square foot former Sears space in Aviation Mall and transform it into ADK Karting Experience. These will be high-level indoor go-kart tracks for kids and adults, plus six racing simulators.
What Can We Expect When It Opens?
Expect a massive arcade with over fifty games, a glow-in-the-dark mini golf course, and rooms for parties and corporate events. They hope to open the ADK Karting Experience in October with a Halloween-themed weekend. The goal is to create a space where families, teens, and adults can all have a great time.
A big highlight will be the indoor go-kart tracks. There will be a 1,400-foot track for adults and a 250-foot track for kids. They can even be combined into a 1,600-foot mega track. The karts will be all electric and imported from England, with a track designed by experts from the UK. Jeremy Treadway, a former professional racer, has done extensive research, traveling to Europe and Florida to ensure top-tier quality.
Along with go-karting, there will be six high-end racing simulators. These are not your typical arcade games. They replicate real driving sensations for an ultra-realistic experience. They hope to start leagues and hold special events like racing Watkins Glen in the rain or Road America at night.
But there are other plans for the space. Those include a cafe, bar, string bowling, and crazy darts.
