Fun At The Columbia County Fair [PHOTOS]
I had a great time at WGNA day at the Columbia County Fair in Chatham. There were some interesting people for sure, and some food that kept me up all nite but was soooo good. Here's a few photos.
A petting zoo, bird feeding area, food galore, merchandise… it was great. The Columbia County Fair has been in existence for -get this - 175 years!
It was a photographer's dream to be there, although I had precious little time for that. We had lots of people spinning the prize wheel and coming up to our tent for me to leave, but I did snap a few with my trusty iPhone.
Here was a boy, Brenden, who took very kindly to feeding the little birdies in the feeding area. I was a little worried about the two on his head, but their stomachs cooperated.
Now onto the food. Jordan, our stellar live on location guy and I were treated to these humungous meatball subs from the Greenport Fire Department. We thank them very much, by the way. Now check these things out!
Is that a sub or a flowerpot with meatballs in it?
And finally, the cars! The demolition derby was a smash, literally. Our very own Jumpin' John Stanley did the play-by-play. It as awesome
I couldn't get very good photos of the actual race. They came out all blurry. Sorry!
Thanks to everyone I had the chance to meet!
