Former Local Anchor’s Irma Report Goes Viral (VIDEO)

I’ve known Jessica for a while now and enjoyed watching her for many years here locally on WNYT. She’s doing big things down in New York City and they’re lucky to have her.  She’s the best; a true professional who loves being a field reporter and getting out there on the streets and she’s always prepared.  However, she had no way of knowing a speeding rollerblader would enter her live shot while reporting on Hurricane Irma for CBS New York.   Barstool Sports ran with the clip and  it has now gone viral.  Layton kept her cool, and the nameless man bladed his way the heck out of Florida to safety.   Layton who’s safe in Florida right now told me “When you’re prepared for hurricane winds, a guy on rollerblades isn’t too hard to ignore. It’s always nice when they don’t yell obscenities too!”
