Former Latham Circle Mall Could Have Supermarket

Latham Circle Mall was once a bustling shopping center, but its heyday came and went.

It was even the home of the WGNA studios and offices for more than 10 years.

Just about the whole mall has since been demolished, with the exception of JC Penney and Lowes. Both stores are still open. This is to make way for the new Shoppes At Latham Circle shopping plaza.

The Times Union has a story about how the owner of the site got zoning approval from The Town Of Colonie to build a supermarket. There’s been talk about attracting a Wegmans or Costco. Nothing has been mentioned yet about what businesses will actually be going into the shopping center.
