It seems like only yesterday when George Strait announced that he would be retiring from the road.  Now, as we write this article, there are just 9 stops left on the second, and final, leg of 'The Cowboy Rides Away' Tour.

The sold-out tour has been filled with special guests and surprises including Eric Church and Kenny Chesney at the Nashville stop. Church got up to sing 'Cowboys Like Us' with 'The King' and Chesney dueted on 'Amarillo By Morning.' Jason Aldean, Martina McBride, Sheryl Crow, Merle Haggard, Little Big Town, Chris Young and others have also made special appearances at select shows.

The final Northeast show will happen on May 31, with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill on the bill. Last year, we were lucky to get 40 listeners to his show in San Antonio, and this year, we're bringing 100 fans to say goodbye to the Massachusetts' show. Sadly, George has so many hits that he can't perform them all in one show, so let's hope he sings your favorite hit 'live' before he hangs up his hat.

By the way, George insists that he is not 'retiring' from the music business, just the touring side of the business.
