I love my dog and I love being around her but there are certain places I'd rather she not be right next to me. I had no idea that this local restaurant was allowing dogs inside but they're not allowed to anymore.

I'm sure you're familiar with the Wolff's Biergarten franchises in the area. Their focus is on German-style food and environment. I love to see that local restaurants are dog friendly but apparently Biergarten was a little more dog friendly than most. According to The Daily Gazette, the four locations (Albany, Troy, Schenectady & Syracuse) are tweaking their policies after a neighbor of the Syracuse location had an issue with their breaking of health code allowing dogs in the restaurant.

Now, Biergarten has to change their rules. Dogs are still allowed in the outside, patio areas but no longer throughout the restaurant. All three local locations have access to the patio without having to go through the restaurant. Dogs also must be in a carrier or on a leash, on the ground, and pet waste must be disposed of by the owner. Owner Matt Baumgartner is upset, saying that dogs were part of the Biergarten scene saying they've never caused a problem indoors.

How do you feel about this? Biergarten is obviously a different kind of restaurant than that of a Primem does it matter? Would you have been bothered by a dog at Biergarten?
