In a press release today, New York State Police said they will be cracking down on cell phone users and distracted driving.  State police officers will be out all month in marked and  unmarked cars looking for those drivers on their cell phones or texting while driving.  There will even be check points set up. The crack down stems from an increase in distracted driving incidents throughout the county.

As you know, distracted driving is a pet peeve of mine.  For the twenty minutes or so you are driving to work, or the 10 minutes when you are driving your kids to practice, please put your phones down.  There are even text stops now, just pull over if you need to be on your phone.  We need to be safe while we drive, for ourselves and for the others on the road.

Spread the word!
