The stories were horrible. The embarrassment will linger for years for many parties involved. His nickname amongst some of Major League Baseball's media, "d__k pic Mick," is as cringe-worthy as it gets. In February of 2021, Brittany Ghiroli and Katie Strang of the Athletic wrong a story describing the predatory sexual behavior of the former Mets' manager, some of it while he was employed in New York, towards female members of the media.
