Crossgates Mall Announces Expanded Hours For 2023 Due To Demand

In an age where more and more shopping happens online, Crossgates Mall continues to be an in-person retail giant in the Capital Region.

In an age where shopping malls are facing an uphill battle to bring consumers through their doors, the template for success at Crossgates Mall should be followed again and again. The region's biggest shopping center continues to evolve to meet changing consumer tastes and remains a busy destination for not just Capital Region shoppers, but for those looking for dining and entertainment.

From great restaurants to a comedy venue to bowling and arcades to great shopping and so much more, Crossgates has a little something for everyone.

That mix of options, along with our continued emergence from our pandemic habits, has led to an increased demand for all that Crossgates has to offer - and because of that, the mall will be operating on new expanded hours in the new year.

According to a press release from Crossgates, starting January 2nd, 2023 the mall will be open at the following times:

• Monday – Thursday: 10 am to 8 pm
• Friday – Saturday: 10 am to 9 pm
• Sunday: 11 am - 6 pm

Crossgates Marketing Director Jen Smith says “Given the steady increases in traffic we have been seeing at Crossgates prior to and through the holiday season, combined with pent-up customer demand for more venues to be open earlier in the day and later into the evening, we are excited to offer these expanded hours!

The mall will now be open an additional 2 hours Monday through Saturday. Before expanded hours kicked in for the holiday season, Crossgates' normal operating hours were 11 to 7 Monday through Thursday, 11 to 9 Friday and Saturday, and 11 to 6 on Sunday.
