Q: What Do You Think Makes Someone A Country Idol?

A: A Country Idol should be someone that seems down to earth and relatable to the country audience.  They should be someone that is true to country music and understands the meaning of the words in the song that they are singing to the crowd.  Not only should they be able to sing, but they also should be able to make anyone in the room feel the meaning of the lyrics and the power behind the way they sing them.

Q: What's Your Advice To Contestants?

A: I would say the best advice to the contestants is to pick a song that is not too difficult.  So many times people try to sing a Martina McBride or Carrie Underwood song without fully understanding the range that these artists are so blessed to have.  Pick a song that fits your range and nail that song rather than trying to sing a song that is in and of itself, very difficult to nail.

Q: Who Are Some Of Your Favorite Country Music Performers?

A: Some of my favorite country performers would have to be Keith Urban, Zac Brown Band, Brooks n Dunn, and Thompson Square.
