Carney’s Tavern In Ballston Lake Reopens
Carney’s Tavern on Main Street in Ballston Lake was a very popular establishment for long time.
They closed back in 2012. It was owned by Bob and Rosemary Carney. The decision to close was made by Rosemary, not long after her husband, Bob, passed away.
That has recently changed. Carney’s Tavern reopened for business back in May, and yesterday afternoon, there was a grand reopening celebration, complete with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the restaurant and bar. The Chamber Of Southern Saratoga County joined the new owners, Matt and Stephanie Finnigan for the celebration.
The Finnigans were working on Carney’s for a for about six weeks before the May reopening, complete with some changes which included putting in a brand new kitchen. They have also created a new menu.
According to the article in The Saratogian, they are ready and looking forward to serving some of Carney’s old customers, along with bringing in and serving new customers. I have driven past Carney’s many times, and now I may have to stop in and check it out.
