Capital Region Park Getting Ninja Warrior Course
One of the largest parks in the Capital Region is getting more of an upgrade. This time they will add an American Ninja Warrior-style obstacle course.
According to News 10 ABC, on Tuesday morning, February 25th, the city of Amsterdam was given a check for one hundred thousand dollars to add to one of the city's largest parks. This will enhance the equipment and add a pretty cool obstacle course.
Amsterdam will use the donation to renovate Veteran's Park on Locust Avenue. They have plans to redesign it and also add an American Ninja Warrior-style obstacle course. The park is one of Amsterdam's largest with two war memorials, a tennis court, a two hundred foot baseball field, pavilion, playground, basketball courts, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, and a city pool.
The American Ninja Warrior courses have a climbing wall and some challenging obstacles for all ages. They hope this will add to the appeal of an already utilized park in Amsterdam.
The plan is to break ground early this spring.
