Brothers Osborne Comments on Lil Nas X CMA Nom & New Album

Brothers Osborne opened up for Willie Nelson for the Outlaw Festival this past Saturday and I had the chance to talk to TJ about their new live album, their CMA nominations, and "Weed, Whiskey, and Willie."

Brothers Osborne is one of my favorite acts in country music right now and I had the opportunity, again, to talk to the brothers about what's going on in their lives and being on tour with Willie Nelson. John Osborne was feeling under the weather but TJ gave us information on what they have coming up.

First, their upcoming album release "Live at the Ryman" will be coming out on October 11th. Having never been to the Ryman, I couldn't wait to ask about the energy of the Ryman and how that transfers into their new album.

Next, we talked about their CMA nominations, they're second only to Maren Morris this year. In one category in particular, they have some interesting competition. In Musical Event of the Year, they're up against Lil Nas X "Old Town Road." Knowing TJ and his brother are not afraid to share their opinions, I asked TJ what he thought about the 'Is Lil Nas X Country?' debate.
