We will be getting stimulus checks in the next few weeks. But there is a warning that goes along with it. There are scammers trying to get your money from you. Here's what to look out for. According to News 10 ABC, the FBI and many other agencies are warning Americans to not fall for scams when it comes to receiving your stimulus checks. They warn that scammers are trying to gain your financial information through phone calls, texts, websites, and emails.

Beware of phishing scams that will claim they are coming directly from the government and then asking for your personal and financial information. With Americans being eligible for up to one thousand two hundred dollars per person and expecting the money within the next three weeks, scammers are pouncing on the opportunity.

The FBI and government officials are warning Americans to be diligent and never give out PayPal, financial, or personal information over the phone, by email, text, or directed through a website.

You will receive a notice through the mail no later than fifteen days from the time your payments are sent out. There will also be a phone number to call directly to the IRS if the funds do not arrive.
