Bethlehem Hound Almost Becomes National Show’s ‘Top Dog’
Every year after the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade is the fantastically adorable "National Dog Show." While you were watching, did you realize not only that one of the dogs was from the area but that it almost took away Best in Show?
Maddie the Pharaoh hound competed in the National Dog Show on Thanksgiving Day. Dominic Palleschi Carota is Maddie's owner and was confused when he got a photo text from his dog's handler. The photo was "of the ribbon and the silver tray and the medallion," according to the Times Union.
The two-year-old house won against similar breeds in the hound group during the The National Dog Show. Out of the 2,000 dogs, Maddie was one of the seven entered to win the top prize, Best in Show, which Thor the bulldog ultimately won.
