Former Bethlehem High School standout, Matt Quatraro may be the next manager for the New York Mets. Quatraro is currently the bench coach for the Tampa Bay Rays. The Mets have been looking for a manager since they fired Luis Rojas after the team's disappointing season.

According to reports by ESPN's Buster Olney, "The Mets have formally asked for permission to speak to the Rays' bench coach Matt Quatraro about their managerial opening." Quatraro has appeared a number of times on The Drive with Charlie & Dan. He is one of the best guys around. The Mets would be making a wise choice. We will keep you posted on this developing.

Matt Quatraro has been the bench coach for the Rays since 2018. Prior to that he served as the assistant hitting coach for Cleveland. Besides being in the Bethlehem High School Hall of Fame, Quatraro was a one time assistant coach for the UAlbany Great Danes.
