You may remember I really started taking my fitness seriously and working out at Best Fitness last fall.

And then, as it does, life happened. About 2-1/2 weeks ago, I had surgery on my rotator cuff and bicep to repair torn tendons. I just had a post-op appointment with my doctor recently, and he was happy with amount of mobility I had.  He wants to keep the momentum going by starting physical therapy sometime in the next week (one to two times per week).

After a few months of physical therapy. I can start to incorporate some bicep curls, and other low weight training arm exercises. That's an area where Best Fitness will be useful in my recovery!

Joe, my trainer at Best Fitness, has been diligent about reaching out to see how I'm feeling. He's excited about utilizing Best Fitness to help me gain the strength back in my shoulder. He is confident that along with proper rehabbing, Best Fitness will be an invaluable tool to return to 100 percent, full strength. That confidence has helped me psychologically feel better; the road to recovery doesn't seem so long when you have great people on your team.

I'm hoping that by the middle of the summer, I will have regained enough strength in my shoulder to begin playing some golf, perhaps even be able to throw a tennis ball (with ease) around the park with my son.

This really does emphasize that Best Fitness is dedicated to helping you make the best use of the workout time you have — whatever your fitness level and abilities. Aside from personal training, Best Fitness offers a variety of classes and techniques to keep you challenged and motivated, including hot yoga, barre and cycling.
