Major Retailer Opening New Store At Crossgates Mall

These days, we simply don't spend enough time wandering around our local libraries or bookstores, jumping into that next great read. That is just the smartphone world that we live in.

So maybe welcoming a new bookstore to one of the Capital Region's premier shopping destinations will reinspire us to go old-school when it comes to grabbing that next great book.

Barnes & Noble To Open New Store At Crossgates Mall

Crossgates Mall announced in a press release today that Barnes & Noble will open a new 18,000 square foot bookstore in the mall in late summer 2026. Barne's & Nobe carries a wide selection of books along wth toys, games, vinyl albums, stationery, and more.

An exact date of the store's opening should be announced sometime in the near future.

Barnes & Noble currently operates 3 other locations in the region, including the Colonie Center, Wilton Square in Saratoga, and one in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
