Assets That Were Seized By Authorities Being Used For Kids With Life Threatening Illnesses
Did you ever wonder where some of the money went that was confiscated and seized by law enforcement from criminals and drug dealers?
Some of the money goes back into the various police agencies and communities.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Department can tell you what they did with some of that cash. They gave it to some sick children. They used thousands of those dollars as a donation to a camp for children with life threatening illnesses - The Double H Ranch in Lake Luzerne.
In addition to the monetary donation, they also send a patrol officer to the camp. That officer interacts with the children of the camp. The officer also talks to the kids about different things, and especially about safety. According to the story from Newschannel 13, this summer, the donated money from the sheriff’s department helped send two children with a life threatening illness to the camp.
