Cold air and a little bit of snow will move through the region late this morning and this afternoon.

Thankfully, we are being spared the blizzard-like conditions hitting western New York today. Even the Bills game was postponed to Monday due to this weekend's storm and travel bans in that region.

While we are not seeing anything near what the Buffalo region is seeing, we will be getting our own little spat of winter weather today that could bring a few inches of snow to parts of the Capital Region and Upstate New York.

National Weather Service Issues Hazardous Weather Outlook Sunday

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a hazardous weather outlook for eastern New York, western Massachusetts, and southern Vermont.  An arctic cold front will be moving into the region along with isolated snow squalls and snow showers late this morning and this afternoon. NWS says temperatures will hit 34 late morning, then will get colder falling to 26 through the day.

The Albany, Saratoga Springs, and Glens Falls areas can expect 1 to 2 inches of snow while surrounding areas and higher elevations can expect a little bit more.
