ANTI-ICE PSA Making Its Rounds Across Upstate New York
Over the past few weeks, Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) has been making headlines across America. A mass deportation campaign has begun, and cities across the country are starting to notice ICE presences.
Some of these cities are less enthused about their presence, especially in New York State, and a new Anti-ICE PSA has been circulating across Upstate that's been gathering attention.

What's in the PSA
The PSA was produced by Family of Woodstock Inc. and HUDSY TV, and is focused on helping families after a potential "ICE Emergency". What is an ICE Emergency, though? This push is focused on children, specifically those who may come home one day to an empty home.
Family of Woodstock initially pitched the idea, seeing how traumatizing it can be for children to walk through their door and realize no one was home. As such, they didn't just put together a PSA, they created an emergency contact kit and emergency kit checklist for anyone who may need it.
What is an Emergency Kit Checklist?
This is the main focus of the PSA, preparing children for the worst. The PSA outlines what children should do if faced with that situation, and provides a checklist families should prepare just in case, available in both English and Spanish.
While many may look at this and say it's fearmongering, this situation can come into play in many shapes and forms, whether a tragic accident or a miscommunication, making sure your children are prepared for whatever happens is an absolute necessity.
