America’s Longest Married Couple To Celebrate 81 Years Together

Just when we all may have given up on long, prosperous marriage stories, John and Ann Betar from Bridgeport, Connecticut give hope to hopeless romantic types like me. On Monday (Nov. 25), the couple will celebrate their 81st wedding anniversary.

Imagine what these two folks have seen in their lifetime together.  They lived through the Great Depression, WWII and all the wars since, 14 US Presidents, and so many other milestones.
