Marian began her radio career in her hometown of Olean at age 17 and has been in and out of the business ever since. She moved to the Capitol Region in the fall of 2011. Marian graduated from SUNY Fredonia with a degree in Communication/Media. Marian has worked in the nonprofit world as a development coordinator and event planner and was a long time 4-H volunteer. She is a self-proclaimed former horse show mom and has also raised goats and rabbits (both of which, she swears, really do taste like chicken). Her husband, Mark, is online editor for The Daily Gazette, a lifelong area resident and former radio man himself (they met at a college radio convention in Washington, D.C., in 1985 and were married in 2012 in Las Vegas). Marian has two boys, Jordan and Jared, who are young adults, and she is also "step-monster" to three children, Andrew and tween-twins Logan and Mikaila. Marian LOVES sports and is a diehard Buffalo Bills fan. She also loves the Yankees, Sabres, St. Bonaventure basketball and, of course, Tony Stewart! Since moving to Albany, she has become a ValleyCats fan, as well as a Devils and Phantoms rooter. She is a reformed reality show junkie, but RARELY misses the Young and the Restless.
