Albany’s Cuckoo’s Nest Opening Second Restaurant Location
The Cuckoo's Nest has been making quite the waves in Albany since it opened two years ago. So much so, that they're expanding to a second location in the Capital Region.
The Cuckoo's Nest is known for its contemporary-Southern dishes and their food has become so popular that they're opening up a second location in Downtown Schenectady, according to the Times Union.
The Cuckoo's Nest sibling, to be called "The Nest," will be taking the recently vacant space on State Street that until a few months ago was home to Slidin' Dirty. This is the third restaurant from Kaytrin and Devin Ziemann, including their "fast-casual burger" spot, Crave. They have signed a three year lease for Downtown Schenectady with the option to renew the lease for another three.
You won't see the restaurant open for another couple of months. They plan on doing some renovations to the space and want to wait for the holiday rush in their other restaurants to be over before they focus on a third space.
The Nest will offer a lot of the same things that it's parent restaurant has, but will also have it's own personality with special menu items specific to that location.
