Albany To Get Another Blast Of Strong Thunderstorms Today

Just when you thought we were out of the woods, some nasty weather is rolling back into the area.

We finally had a stellar day yesterday, but it looks like the run of strong storms we have had of late will resume today. The Times Union is reporting between 2 and 8pm today we can expect thunderstorms, possibly severe. The TU article says the very strong late summer storms we have been having are a result of a stronger than normal jet-stream.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning though 9pm tonight.  After the last week or so, we could use a break from these nasty storms. A nice, calm end to summer would be a welcome change!
