Albany Area Runners In The Boston Marathon

In the wake of the tragedy in Boston, we'd like to take a moment to honor the Albany area participants of the Boston Marathon.

As of the latest reports, all of our Albany area runners are safe. However, there are reports of 176 injured (of those 17 critical) and 3 deaths. The compelling photo at the end of this tribute is of the unclaimed bags that were supposed to go to the runners who crossed the finish line.  WGNA's family of listeners extends it's best wishes, thoughts and prayers to the families affected by this tragedy.  Special thanks and recognition to first responders, police, firefighters, National Guard, EMTs, and regular citizens who became heroes helping neighbors in need.
