Hollywood celeb and activist Susan Sarandon was arrested in Albany on Monday after a rally opposing the increase in the minimum wage turned a bit unruly.

According to CBS 6 News, a total of eight people were arrested at the Capitol Monday afternoon as tipped workers and advocates rallied for fair wages once and for all.

One of those people at the rally taken into custody was actress Susan Sarandon, the star of Bull Durham, Thelma and Louise, and Pretty Woman also acts as the president of One Fair Wage.

Sarandon and others contend that female waitresses are among the workers most affected by the change in wages, and the crowd was advocating on behalf of mothers, and women of color.

Protesters wanted to get arrested

According to witnesses, the protesters wanted to get arrested - almost acting confused that police weren't apprehending them. Eventually, after some of them continues pushing and blocking officers, 8 were arrested including Sarandon.
