A Sobering Reminder, Don't Drink And Drive

If you are traveling north on Route 9 near Devoe's Rainbow Orchards, you will notice a very important message. It is a billboard designed by 10th grade Shen student Maddy Dunne.Sixty four students participated in designing billboards to illustrate the dangers of drinking and driving. The winning poster was unveiled on Wednesday.

an accident along with two of their friends who survived. The driver of the other vehicle was driving drunk and struck their vehicle on the Northway.

The billboard and the posters are a nice tribute to Deanna who planned on becoming a teacher. Maddy said that she hopes that the sign will serve as a reminder of how important Deanna was.

The billboard is put up this time of year to coincide with prom and graduation season to remind drivers to not drink and drive.
