9-Year-Old from Clifton Park Slays National Anthem (WATCH)
Star Mangled Banner
Less than one week after a country music singer butchered our national anthem, a young singing star from the Capital Region brought the house down with her version of the song, and she's only nine years old!
Last Monday night, country singer Ingrid Andress sang one of the most talked-about versions of the Star Spangled Banner in recent memory.
Admittedly, Andress was very drunk when she took the mic before the Home Run Derby in Texas last Monday. She compared Fergie, Rosanne Barr, and Carl Lewis, among others who have notoriously butchered the song. In fairness to Andress, she checked herself into rehab the following day after receiving a ton of backlash on social media, as well as pop culture and news media outlets.
Local 9-Year-Old Slays the National Anthem
That brings us to Saturday night when a 9-year-old girl named Stella brought the house down at GNA's Concert on the Course at Pinehaven Country Club in Guilderland.
Before featured acts Avery Anna and Kameron Marlowe took the stage, the young star from Clifton Park was honored to perform the Star-Spangled Banner in front of her first live crowd, and she slayed it!
Stella's control over her voice is next-level, and with the stage presence to match, the future could be very bright if she decides to pursue music. Who knows, it's not out of the realm of possibility that we'll be buying tickets for her performance at next year's concert on the course. Stay tuned!
