2 Local Men Attempted To Get Free Groceries
Two men walked into the East Greenbush Price Chopper, and tried to walk out with some groceries without paying for them. Thanks to some observant store employees, the two men were seen allegedly leaving the store with a shopping cart full of merchandise.
In a press release from the East Greenbush Police Department, the two men were confronted by store employees, but ran in two different directions. They were found a short time later and arrested. The cart had over 50 grocery items including dog food and steaks.
The men that allegedly did the shoplifting are 26-year-old Matthew W. Seeloff, Jr. from Troy, and 38-year-old Michael G. Wescott of Stillwater. Wescott and Seeloff were both charged with Larceny. It was also discovered that Seeloff had an assault warrant by Cohoes Police. He was turned over to the Cohoes Police Department.
