2 From Capital Region Split Lottery Jackpot
Now this is the kind of news we need right now, even if we're not the ones winning the cash money. Two people from the Capital Region woke up this morning $30,000 richer today after it was announced by the New York State Lottery that there were two jackpot winners in Thursday nights Take 5 drawing.
According to News 10 ABC, a couple of nice little $30K payouts will be given out to two people in the Capital Region after winning tickets were sold at the Valley View Mini Mart located at 1351 State Route 5S in Amsterdam and a Stewart’s Shops located at 8062 State Route 40 in Hartford.
Not a bad thing to wake up to on a frigid cold Friday in the middle of pandemic when we can all use a little help financially.
The numbers from last night were 19, 23, 25, 26 & 39.
According to the New York Lottery website, the odds of matching all 5 numbers is roughly 1 in 575,000. Playing is simple: Choose five numbers from 1 to 39. To win the Take 5 Jackpot, match the five numbers on your ticket to the winning five-number combination drawn. Drawings are help each weeknight at 10:30PM.
The payout for the grand prize is roughly $57,000. In last night's drawing there were two jackpot winners so each winner gets first and second place money divided equally. The exact payout is $31,286.
Congrats to both of the winners.
