Jackson, just back from a trip to Los Angeles to see the Critic's Choice Awards, is back with us to make sure you don't miss some amazing new movies.

First, the movie everyone has been talking about this week is "12 Strong." The story, set in the wake of September 11th, leads Capt. Mitch Nelson (Chris Hemsworth) and a team of U.S. Special Forces into Afghanistan. The team has to agree to work with an Afghan warlord in order to attempt to bring down the Taliban. Based on a best-selling book and produced in part by Jerry Bruckheimer, there's buzz surrounding this film.

Second for this weekend is "Phantom Thread." A movie set in 1950's post-war London is about a renowned dressmaker Reynolds Woodcock (Daniel Day-Lewis) and his sister Cyril (Lesley Manville). Soon, Woodcock has to decide between the future of the House of Woodcock and a love with a woman named Alma (Vicky Krieps).
