Authorities are reporting that a gas tanker has crashed on Route 7 in Hoosick and is on fire. Just last week the City of Albany had some troubles with underground electrical fires and exploding manhole covers. It appears that the City of Troy has inherited the same problem. Police have started to evacuate residents and businesses near Federal Street & Fifth Ave. According to the Troy Record Twitter feed, police are advising to not park on manhole covers.
