10 local high schools are competing to win a free show from LANco, and more importantly all 10 are teaming up for a great cause.

GNA’s 4th Annual Capital Region High School Hunger Games presented by SEFCU is underway! We’ve selected 10 local schools to gather non-perishable food items for the Food Pantries For the Capital District to help feed those in need this coming holiday season and beyond. Not only will all 10 schools be helping such a great cause, but the school that raises the most food will win a private concert from Arista Nashville Recording Artist LANco (Singers of the current hit ‘Greatest Love Story.’) Here are the schools participating this year:

  • Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons High School
  • Colonie High School
  • Duanesburg High School
  • Galway High School
  • Waterford High School
  • Corinth High School
  • New Lebanon High School
  • Shenendehowa  High School
  • Averill Park High School
  • Schoharie High School

This year's winner will be determined based on scoring in 3 categories:

  • Total Pounds of food donations raised
  • Pounds of food donations per student
  • Social media coverage using #GNAHungergames and school spirit

Best of luck to all of our schools this year! And just because you are not in high school anymore doesn't mean you cannot help the Food Pantries For the Capital District. For details how you can donate food or volunteer, click here.
